The Desert Eagle is a semi-automatic pistol with high power, penetration and magazine capacity at the cost of accuracy and rate of fire.

Overview[]

Unlocked at Level 45, the Desert Eagle is the final pistol to be unlocked. While similar to the .44 Magnum in terms of power, the Desert Eagle has terrible base accuracy, making it initially useful only in close quarters combat. Fortunately, this can be remedied with the use of Deadeye and Laser, which will make the Desert Eagle a viable option of long range combat.

Another main flaw of the Desert Eagle is its ammo economy, with only 28 rounds in reserve, though this can be remedied too with Bandolier, which doubles reserve ammo.

To make up for these flaws, the Desert Eagle has high power and penetration, thanks to its use of .50AE rounds. The low rate of fire does help to keep recoil in check, allowing for precise shots.

Overall, the Desert Eagle can be an excellent pistol to use, though the use of Deadeye, Laser and Bandolier is recommended for the best result.

Strategy[]

As mentioned above, Deadeye and Laser are vital for an accurate Desert Eagle. Bandolier gives a total of 8 reserve magazines, allowing one to stay in the fight for longer.

With the use of FMJ rounds, it may even be possible to achieve a one-headshot kill, or a two-headshot kill at worst.

The Desert Eagle, like the .44 Magnum, can be viewed as a pocket Sniper Rifle owing to its low rate of fire and high damage. However, damage dropoff may force the Desert Eagle only viable at mid-range. High Caliber rounds can help to negate damage dropoff.

Some players consider this weapon shadow banned. Expect no mercy if you use this gun.
